I just heard about a great student design conference that’s happening in Nashville in just two weeks. It called Dish, it’s just for graphic design students, and it’s sponsored by the great folks with AIGA Nashville. The conference kicks off Thursday night, February 7 and lasts through Saturday afternoon. We will carpool down Thursday after noon stay in a downtown hotel, and meet lots of designers and design students over the weekend. Check out the conference web site here. There will be events focused on job hunting, portfolios, and inspiring presentations from other professionals. Register online and let me know if you are going!

Good News: Former Pellissippi students now attending Watkins in Nashville have invited our students to roll out a sleeping bag at their condo to save on hotel bills. Leave a comment below if you’re going to Dish and you want to take them up on this offer.

Update: Nashville is known world-wide for it’s honytonks, so we’re going to check out a few of them after ice skating on Friday night. In the meantime, check out iHonkytonk, my podcast guide to Nashville’s Lower Broad music scene.
