I’ve had a love-hate relationship with Helvetica. Sure, she’s always reliable and she fulfills my basic needs. But sometimes a designer wants a little variety, and it’s hard not to notice Mrs. Eaves’ flirtatious curves, the all-American good looks of Goudy, or the dead-sexy lines of Didot. I’ll be the first to admit it’s been a checkered romance. We’ve been on and off for years, but there’s still something about Helvetica. Check out this film and learn more about the font that haunts designers. Check out a trailer for the film. Update: Admission is $5 for students with I.D.
