Today my Design II students presented their ad campaign pitches. Each student was assigned a brand for which they created an ad campaign idea. Click on the links below to see each student’s work. Students may leave three positive comments as votes for their favorite ad campaign ideas. The top three designers by votes will become the art directors, choosing a team for their ad campaign and presenting their campaign at the end of the semester.

My 3 picks are: 1) Vivani – clean, greeen, and beautiful – I think this would be a really chic campaign – probably more so for NY than Ktown, but . . . we work where we live :)
2) ADA – this has great potential especially with the slight alteration to the slogan to “shape your life” you could do so many cool things playing off the word “shape”.
3)This one was close between Susan and Jackie’s I liked them both, but since I can only pick 3 I’m going with Carter’s – maybe because I’ve had to clean all of the stuff this campaign shows so well. I think this could be a really fun visual campaign with all the endless ways kids mess up their clothes.

My 3 picks are:
Kitty,
Jackie,
Susan.

#1 – Melissa – The campaign is just fun and colorful….sorta like Altoids themselves.

#2 – Ryan – Clever and varied, this campaign has the potential for mass appeal.

#3 – Susan – This campaign would first grab attention and second, and most importantly make people talk, maybe even think.

My three picks are: Melissa Dos Santos, Kitty Garland, and Susan Forehand

Jeff Higdon

1 – Jackie came up with a great concept for the Carter’s campaign.
2 – Kitty has done a great job of expressing the “Simple, Clean, Green” slogan in her roughs for the Vivavi campaign.
3 – I also like the simplicity of Ryan’s “Shape Your Life” concept for the USDA family nutrition campaign.

1 – Jackie
2 – Satoko
3 – Ashley

1.)Melissa’s altoids ad has really great visuals.
2.)Satoko’s American Apparel has real potential.
3.)Jackie’s “Carters” ad looks like a lot of fun.

These are my three picks:

1. Ryan with ADA children’s nutrition
2. Melissa with Altoids
3. Kitty with Vivavi

1. Melissa has some great ideas for campaign directions.
2. I love Susan’s caution tape for banned books.
3. I like Satoko’s use of color in her ads. You could do a great campaign with that.

I love Melissa’s Altoids ad. She did a great job on it!

I love Melissa’s ad for Altoids. I vote for her.

Wow you people are really stepping up to the plate on this one. Melissa is tackling a tough one and has chosen concepts that I feel fit Altoids perfectly, I love the dirt and the playfulness of the Carters matireal, kids=dirty. And Kitty managed to make furniture look “green” and stylee. Those are just initial reactions, but I really must say I can tell you guys are all improving and also putting alot of yourself into your work. I’m ready to work with any of you!
